The Nominating Committee of the Literacy Coalition of Delaware County Board of Directors is seeking interested candidates to fill board vacancies beginning in June 2011. The two year term will run through May 2013.

The Literacy Coalition's volunteer board of directors establishes board policy, approves budgets, oversees finances, evaluates the executive director/staff and ensures that the organization is addressing its mission of promoting literacy in Delaware County. The board of directors meets a minimum of 6 times a year.

The board is seeking a diverse mix of representatives from business, community organizations, and government agencies. Those interested in serving and providing board leadership for literacy in the county should request an application by contacting the Literacy Coalition. Application deadline is April 31, 2011. The Nominating Committee will be making its recommendations to the full board in May 2011.
